What is a tide clock?

Most people have never heard of a tide clock. A tide clock movement is provided, positioned within and supported by the base. A cylindrical element is provided comprising a cylindrical surface element with indicia thereon. A tide clock employs a tide dial and a solar time dial which are rotatably driven at different uniform rates by a timepiece.
